Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out. By 1851 the site had been fully developed with housing and workshops. In the 1930s the houses were demolished as part of a city wide slum clearance. The site was vacant until 1946 when a factory and offices were built. These buildings were demolished between 1995 and 2001. It then became a car park, although the factory floor survived in places as the current car park surface. [Au(adp)] |
