Abstract: |
Two trial trenches were excavated to evaluate the site. Numerous features indicative of fairly intensive market gardening of post-medieval or modern date were observed. A pit which produced a good assemblage of late medieval pottery may have been a back-filled soakaway. The land had been divided into burgage plots in the medieval period. [AIP] |
