Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained on two boreholes and revealed a sequence of archaeological deposits to either side of the projected course of the wall of the Roman legionary fortress. The deposits, which contained some preserved organic materials, were believed to date from the Roman through to the post-medieval periods. [Au(abr)] |
