Abstract: |
<summary>Preliminary excavations were undertaken to provide information regarding working levels and the survival of archaeological features. This investigation was carried out prior to a proposed scheme to reinstate the medieval building in its pre-19th century setting. The results indicate that despite damage caused by the construction of a church in 1898, the pre-18th century remains of the hall have survived to an unexpected degree. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
