Abstract: |
The archaeological excavation and recording on land previously occupied by a hospital and MOD staff quarters was undertaken. The land lay within and partly astride a bastion and musketry keep of the Dock Lines which were built in 1756 during the Seven Years War. Excavations revealed walls belonging to the 18th century as well as more recent World War II remains. [AIP] |
