Abstract: |
The watching brief undertaken at the Blue Boar Lane car park was unsuccessful in revealing anything of archaeological significance, as was that undertaken along Corporation Street. More successful were the observations at the Acorn Wharf where gravel and chalk floor or yard surfaces of 1st and 2nd century AD date were revealed. These lay to the north of the line of the 3rd and 4th century defences. [AIP] |
