Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of four trenches. Trench 1 yielded no significant archaeological finds. Trench 2 contained the remains of a medieval moat, a late post-medieval soak-away and other tipped modern deposits. Trench 3 contained large amounts of post-medieval and modern dumped demolition debris and one post-medieval brick structure. An additional trench, Trench 4, displayed the hidden edge of a medieval moat clearly and revealed that the moat ran across the site from the north east to the south west. [Au(abr)] |
