Abstract: |
A series of archaeological remains were found across the site. While many of these were undated, some contained pottery or other dateable material. The earliest artefactual material recovered from the site took the form of a substantail quantity of early Bronze Age pottery recovered from the fill of a large ditch. A series of pits containing pottery from the Late Bronze Age were also encountered. Two ditches containing material from the later Iron Age were identified on the eastern side of the site. It was possible that these ditches formed part of a field system associated with the series of enclosures of similar date. Shallow features such as pits and post holes were also found across the site.[Au(abr)] |
