Abstract: |
Test pits were excavated to evaluate the site of former workshops at the Marston's Brewery Depot. Deposits of structural material were located beneath extant floors, and where cellaring had not destroyed them. Roman and medieval structural deposits probably related to buildings or earthworks on or near the site. Further work was considered necessary to clarify the nature and origin of the deposits. [AIP] |
