Abstract:
An 'RCHME-type' level III building record of Ivy Cottage was undertaken as a condition for Listed Building Consent. The earliest evidence for a building on the site could be seen on a survey of the Manor of Bidston made by Lord Kingston in 1665. Six phases of the development of the building were identified ranging from a post-1500 AD date to c.1900 AD. [AIP]
