Abstract: |
A complex of pits, postholes and ditches, dating to the Roman and/or Iron Age and possibly relating to timber buildings was uncovered. A buckle of Roman military type may have dated the buildings to the period of the Roman invasion. The features discovered represented part of the large area of Roman settlement east of Fishbourne Palace. [Au(adp)] |
