Abstract: |
The evaluation, in advance of the proposed Centre for Sporting Excellence, revealed a 1st century east-west algined ditch, possibly a boundary feature. Possible associated features were located in the south-east area of the development site. These were two further undated linears, probably gullies, an isolated post hole and a shallow pit. Traces of an undated ploughsoil were recorded, overlain by the exisiting allotment or garden soil. [Au(abr)] |
