Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken, in response to a condition upon planning permsision, during the proposed development on land adjacent to the primary school. Finds of Late Saxon and medieval date had been recorded in the locality. The investigation revealed deposits associated with the standing buildings of the school and a possible subsoil or topsoil. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered, although these may have lain at depths beyond those required for the development. No artefacts were recovered. [Au(adp)] |
