Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks at a filling station. A considerable number of Anglian burials have been recovered from sites in the vicinity. During the observations a human inhumation and a number of ditches were found. The only datable finds were medieval material from the upper levels, however, the specialist report suggested an Anglian date for the burial, with the ditches forming part of a cemetery boundary.
