Abstract: |
A programme of evaluation involving the excavation of a series of trial trenches was undertaken within an area where archaeological finds of all periods had been recovered from various locations in the vicinity. The site itself showed evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation and appeared to be on the periphery of a medieval settlement. The results of the evaluation proved to be largely negative, with only the evidence for ridge and furrow to indicate any form of occupation or activity. [Au(abr)] |
