Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out. The first phase involved the monitoring of three test pits on the site; the second involved the stripping of a building footprint followed by an investigation of the exposed archaeology. The intrusive groundworks provided some information on the profile of natural deposits across the site. Though a number of archaeological features were exposed during the site strip, many proved to be early modern in date. A series of perceived medieval post holes, however, were encountered.
