Abstract: |
A desk-based cultural heritage appraisal identified that the site lay within the site of Adwick Common which remained unenclosed until the 18th century. There were no other recorded cultural heritage sites within the area of proposed development. There were a total of 15 recorded sites within 1 km, including three Listed buildings and a single Scheduled Ancient Monument, the Market Cross at St. Lawrence's Church, Adwick-le-Street, part of which lay within a Conservation Area. There were no registered battlefields or historic parks and gardens within the area. [Au(adp)] |
