Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a building raft. The site had been previously identified in an evaluation as containing deposits from the medieval and post-medieval periods. The watching brief revealed evidence of a ?medieval ditch, as well as a burial which was associated with the Grape Lane Chapel, and were possibly the remains of one William Wren, the chapel preacher.
