Abstract: |
After a small area of ground collapsed beneath the lady who tended the garden at the site of St Martin's Church (destroyed in 1906), a late 19th century, brick-lined, coffin-shaped tomb was revealed. The broken fragments of tomb slabs were placed within the tomb, and it was filled with sand. The recovered topsoil was replaced, covering the sand. [Au(adp)] |
