Abstract: |
No archaeological or historic features prior to the post-medieval period were recorded within the study area or its immediate vicinity. The former course of the Cirencester to Siddington branch line of the Thames and Severn Canal ran through the eastern part of the study area and deposits of late 18th and 19th date may have been preserved within this course. The canal will have destroyed any earlier archaeological features along its length, as with the post-medieval quarries also situated within the study area.[Au(abr)] |
