Abstract: |
<summary>A desk-top assessment and minor archaeological investigation were undertaken on a site proposed for development. The rear boundary abutted onto the assumed line of the medieval town wall, and the site encompassed three medieval burgage plots. The site also lay close to the Roman fort at Malton. A section recorded in a vehicle inspection pit revealed only modern remains, with the only feature of interest being a 19th century stone-lined rubbish pit. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
