Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the development site. A floor surface and associated hearth of 11th-12th century date were identified, along with levelling and dump deposits together with a ditch and pit of the same date. A foundation of a 16th-17th century wall fronting on to Eastgate was identified, with associated pottery waster deposits. A modern wall was also encountered. [Au(abr)] |
