The watching brief showed that the site had been extensively disturbed during the construction of the buildings associated with the garage. Consequently if any shallow archaeology had existed in these areas it would have been destroyed or been severely damaged. However, deeper features such as ditches may have survived, though in a much truncated form, but none were observed. [Au(abr)] |
