Abstract: |
Archaeological watching briefs were undertaken on a number of sites at Pendennis Castle. The work entailed monitoring groundworks including the repair of service trenches and post-holes within the enceinte and scar repairs to the moat, and structural refurbishment, such as the consolidation of Half Moon Battery and the formation of a new ticket office. The watching briefs revealed evidence of the 18th century development of the site and its subsequent use during the Second World War. [AIP] |
