Abstract: |
A measured survey and photographic record of the basement of 40a High Street was undertaken. In addition historical research was carried out into the property and adjacent properties. The basement comprised two-adjoining rock-cut cellars on the south side and a brick-built basement to the north. Both the basement and the upper floor levels contained evidence of a power-system which was common to the adjoining building to the east. [Au(abr)] |
