Abstract: |
A programme of limited excavation and monitoring was carried out along the route of a new water main. The excavation was undertaken in the area of a known ring ditch feature (SMR TYN 029). Features revealed included a pit and ditch associated with the ring ditch, a lack of artefactual evidence meant that accurate dating was difficult although the previous interpretation of the site as a ploughed out Bronze Age burial mound was not contradicted. Further later prehistoric ditches and pits were also revealed. [AIP] |
