Abstract: |
The extant building at Unit 1 was mainly modern in construction, although the southern wall had a section of probable late 19th century date, with a possible drain leading to the Don visible on the exterior wall, below floor level. This was of some historic interest, although less well preserved than a number of surrounding buildings of 19th century date within the foundry complex. [Au(abr)] |
