Abstract: |
Trial trenches were excavated on the site. Much of the archaeology was found to have been removed by 19th century cellaring. Roman artefacts, mostly dump material, were found in hill wash just above the natural. This suggested that the site was outside the nearby Roman settlement. Residual prehistoric finds were also recovered from the site. No other features or deposits were encountered. [Au(abr)] |
