Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation in the remains of four buildings, undertaken in advance of a change in land use, revealed that post-medieval cellars constructed 2m deep in the French Street buildings had removed the majority of stratified deposits. The Vyse Lane property had two shallow cellars, and as a result the remnants of probable medieval features survived, cut into the natural gravel below the cellar floors. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} SOU 508 (Southampton City Council, Heritage Management investigation identification no) |
