Abstract: |
During the course of the evaluation on the southwestern side of the site three large pits were encountered, one of which appeared to have been associated with burning chalk to produce lime. The very limited dating indicated that the features were medieval in date. The evaluation failed to locate any further Anglo-Saxon burials, first encountered during the 19th century.[Au(abr)] |
