Abstract: |
A gradiometer suvey was carried outon the site of a hoard of over 9000 Roman coins, discovered in 1998. This led to the detection of a villa complex in the area. This survey aimed to extend the boundaries, and discovered some major linear anomalies, and identified the probable northern boundary to the site. The survey suggests that the location of the villa was the principal focus of Roman activity at the site. [Au(adp)] |
