Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken as the first stage of evaluation of a site proposed for residential development in Brackley. Three areas of interest were suggested by the documentary sources. These were, the possibility of the continuation of an Iron Age settlement situated to the south into the development area; the possible remains of a ditch belonging to Brackley Castle, and the remains of medieval tenements along the south side of the site.
