Abstract: |
The area monitored by the watching brief was located just outside of the Scheduled Area (SAM116) of the Augustinian priory. A substantial chalk wall was located, suspected to be the foundations of the southern cloister wall. In addition a well made lintel drain and the edge of a second wall, both possibly forming part of the services and structure for the eastern range of buildings within the precinct, were also located.
