Abstract: |
A layer of post-medieval garden soil overlay archaeological deposits. The majority of archaeological remains on the site comprised late Saxon pits with late Saxon spreads overlaying these. An 11th-12th century pit containing the articulated skeletons of cats and dogs was encountered, as was a small post-medieval vaulted structure. There were large quantities of animal bone across the site but surprisingly little metalwork. [Au(adp)] |
