Abstract: |
An evaluation in advance of residential development found high quality deposits and features dating to the 11th century or later. Remains of buildings from the medieval period tied in with cartographic evidence examined in an earlier assessment. Rubbish pits, yards and demolition layers were also evident. Evidence of silt formation was revealed with environmental potential and suggesting part of the area had been low lying and marshy in the past. [AIP] |
