Abstract:
Desk-based assessment and a preliminary walkover of the three proposed routes were undertaken. At the time when the assessment was carried out the Secretary of State had already announced that the Orange Route was the route to be adopted. Within this route lay a scheduled bowl barrow, further investigation was recommended. A possible mill site and furnace site were also considered worthy of further investigation. A Stage 3 assessment of the whole Orange Route was also recommended. [Au(abr)]
