Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation on land outlined for development revealed evidence of ploughsoils and a dark grey slightly fibrous material. This may represent a degraded ploughsoil. No finds were recovered at all. It is suggested that this probably relates to a pre-Roman enclosure found nearby or possibly to Roman occupation of the site, suggested through Roman pottery found nearby. [AIP] |
