Desk-based assessment of an area containing features relating to former mining activities was undertaken in advance of proposed land reclamation works. Extant features identified included a Grade II listed engine house, a relatively early chimney, stretches of boundary walling and a pair of relatively modern concrete loadings for an horizontal engine.
