Abstract: |
Wall foundations and a relieving arch were observed during a watching brief held during construction of a public house. No finds were recovered with which to date the features but they were considered to be of post-medieval date. In addition a strip of crushed chalk was revealed following the removal of topsoil, the origins and function of the feature were unknown and no finds were recovered. No further archaeological work was recommended. [AIP] |
