Abstract: |
The excavation consisted of a single 8m x 7m area situated to the rear of the existing building. The results revealed several phases of medieval activity, dating from the 12th to 14th centuries. Among these were two fragments of well built stone wall, occupation deposits truncated by a series of small pits and post holes and further, later, fragments of wall and an associated floor surfaces sealed the earlier cut features.
