Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment for the proposed residential development showed that archaeological remains were known in the vicinity and that there was a possibility of similar deposits within the development area. Situated within the historic core of Congerstone, the site included frontage areas on three streets that may have contained evidence of medieval and post-medieval housing. Map evidence indicated that the site itself appeared not to have been preserved beneath the present ground surface. [Au(abr)] |
