Abstract:
The bridge was an early 19th century Grade II Listed, three-span granite beam bridge, which straddled the river Cober. It was possible that the bridge was sited at a former tidal limit of the river dating back to prehistoric times. The bridge had been widened to the east by a small distance, probably in 1887.
