Abstract: |
<summary2>An archaeological assessment was undertaken with the aim of understanding the role the valley has played in man's use of the local landscape, and to determine how far traces left by human activity have survived. This is intended to form a basis of long-term management of the valley for leisure, recreational and educational purposes. The study included desk-based assessment, the taking of pollen samples, and topographic survey. Particular attention was paid to Edge Farm, where a detailed survey of the moat was undertaken. {italon}?AIP/?Sec(abr)(20a){italoff} |
