Abstract: |
Excavation and structural survey were undertaken prior to renovation of an early dwelling near North Hill. The excavation revealed that the earliest structure on the site was a longhouse of 13th to 14th century date. The earliest structural phase of the surviving structure however was shown to be of circa 15th century date. The building underwent phases of alteration and addition during the 17th to 19th centuries. [AIP] |
