Abstract: |
Rillaton Barrow is one of the largest barrows on Bodmin Moor and is a component in a major prehistoric ritual landscape which included the Hurlers and Stowes Pound. Action was undertaken to repair an area of erosion adjacent to the cist within the barrow, which, despite 19th century pilfering, was substantially undisturbed. The report analysed the historical background to the cist, details of the repair work and the consequent effect on the monument. [AIP] |
