Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out in response to a condition upon outline planning permission for the proposed development of a new village hall, car parking, landscaping, sports pitches and associated buildings. 46 trenches were excavated. Very few of these trenches produced any archaeological remains. The majority of archaeological features encountered were drainage ditches, the earliest of which was of early post-medieval date.
