Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks on a large gas main. Trench 1 revealed the presence of Hadrian's Wall ditch in a north facing section, Manhole 1 provided an east facing section profile and Manhole 2 the upper ditch fill in the sides and base on the manhole. The location of the wall ditch matched the alignment seen in a previous watching brief to the west of the site. [Au(adp)] |
