Abstract: |
The development involved the demolition of the existing hospital buildings. The Old Hall building (Grade II Listed) would remain. Northowram Hall is thought to have been constructed on the site of the deserted medieval settlement of Whitmill. Trial trenching revealed several features relating to the 19th century hall and to the landscaped gardens. 17th to 19th century walls were also located and medieval pottery was also found.
