Abstract: |
The report summarised the history and evolution of the landscape as established by the examination of documentary sources and an analysis of the remains still extant on the ground. The field pattern was determined to be virtually identical with that of the 17th and 18th centuries. No features of outstanding quality were recognised, thus the recommendations made were that artefacts found during work should be kept for an archaeologist to collect, and should medieval mining remains be found archaeological excavation could be requested.
