Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring of groundwork associated with the construction of a single dwelling and garage block on land adjacent Sheepcote Hall, was a 16th century structure with possibly earlier origins, was undertaken. All footings and test pits were monitored but no archaeological deposits, features or artefacts of any period were identified. There was no evidence for previous truncation of the ground surfaces.
